MEDICAL

If your GP is happy to continue cover, you may stay with your existing practise, otherwise a GP will be allocated to you.

CARING
Our manager is available to discuss your care needs.
All basic needs will be carried out by care staff, who will help with washing and dressing mornings and evenings, as needed. Care needs are reviewed monthly through care plans.

We can arrange for the printing of your nametags for which a charge will be made. However we are unable to arrange for nametags to be sewn into residents clothing. We ask that all clothes be labelled upon arrival.

MEALS
It is the policy of the home that meals reflect the range of nutritional requirements and dietary preferences of those for whom they are provided. Meals will be presented in the best possible way and a choice of dish will be available at each meal.

Residents/family suggestions of menus will be welcome by the catering staff and every effort will be made to incorporate requests into the menu plan. If you are on a special diet, we get the dietician from the hospital to come and see you if possible, to help us get it right.

Breakfast - Personal choice

Lunch - there is a set menu of at least two choices, however, if we are aware that you do not like the meals the chef will prepare something else for you.

Evening meal - this consists of a light meal with a choice of hot snack, soup or sandwiches.

Biscuits are served with morning tea or coffee as well as a choice of biscuits or cakes with afternoon tea. If you require a drink outside of these times please inform a member of staff.

We would like everyone to have their meals in the dining room, however, if you wish you may eat in your room.

Residents may invite friends and family to join them for a meal if they wish. At least 24 hours notice is required and a charge will be made.
